Google’s big hardware event has wrapped, and the main takeaway is a new lineup of devices that are smarter than ever. The company unveiled the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and the ultra-durable Pixel 10 Pro Fold, with the Gemini AI taking center stage across the board.
The killer feature this year is called “Magic Cue.” Think of it as an assistant that pays attention to what you’re doing and offers help before you ask. For example, if you’re texting about dinner plans, it can pop up with restaurant suggestions and your calendar. This is all powered by Google’s new, faster Tensor G5 chip.
On the camera front, there are big upgrades. The standard Pixel 10 now gets a 5x telephoto zoom lens, while the Pixel 10 Pro pushes that to an impressive 10x optical zoom. The Pro Fold is also now officially water-resistant, a huge win for foldable fans.
And it’s not just phones. Google also launched the Pixel Watch 4, which acts as a personal AI health coach on your wrist and can send an SOS via satellite. To top it off, the new Pixel Buds 2a offer noise cancellation and AI smarts for an affordable $129. The phones start at $799 and ship on August 28th.
