In a bold move to enhance transparency and modernize public administration, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính officially launched Vietnam’s National Legal Portal, a unified digital gateway designed to give citizens and businesses direct, intelligent access to the law. The platform, accessible at https://phapluat.gov.vn, is set to become a cornerstone of the country’s legal and digital governance reform.
Calling it an “indispensable companion” for every Vietnamese citizen, PM Chính emphasized that the portal represents more than a website—it is a transformative tool to foster legal awareness, streamline compliance, and deepen trust between the government and the people. Integrating seamlessly with the national digital ID system (VNeID), the portal offers multilingual support, AI-powered features, and interactive tools that allow users to search laws, pose questions, and provide feedback on legal documents.
“This marks a vital step in building a socialist rule-of-law state that is digital, transparent, and citizen-centric,” PM Chính stated at the launch ceremony in Hà Nội. He called on the Ministry of Justice to continually enhance the platform, ensuring it remains secure, user-friendly, and populated with reliable, real-time information. Ministries, agencies, and local governments are also urged to collaborate actively in legal guidance and citizen engagement through the portal.
To widen its reach, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of multilingual functionality, public outreach through the media, and robust systems to measure the platform’s effectiveness. “Let this be a tool not just for governance, but for empowerment,” he declared, calling on every household to explore and utilize the portal as part of Vietnam’s journey toward a digital future anchored in justice and equality.
