HÀ NỘI – Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính has urged the Government, ministries, and localities to define a clear order of priorities in implementing key tasks for the remainder of 2025. Speaking at a government meeting on Saturday, he emphasized accelerating Vietnam’s three growth drivers – investment, export, and consumption – to meet the year’s targets and build momentum for the coming years.
From January to October 24, the Government and the Prime Minister assigned 9,831 tasks to ministries and localities, including 1,173 key initiatives. Of these, 82.9% have been completed, 16.47% remain on schedule, and 0.62% are overdue. Nearly ten months of work also saw the issuance of 335 legal documents, 652 guiding documents, and 2,385 reports and submissions, alongside 772 directives from the PM, Deputy PMs, and standing government members.
PM Chính acknowledged strong unity and determination across the administration but noted some tasks and projects were slower than planned, with certain reports failing to meet quality standards. To address this, he directed the Government Office to review all ongoing programmes, clarify responsibilities, and ensure accountability. He highlighted priority areas including the development of the State-owned and foreign-invested sectors, high-speed rail, nuclear energy, and delayed power projects. Ministries and localities were urged to develop detailed plans, monitor progress, and implement Politburo Regulation No 366-QD/TW on performance evaluation of collectives and individuals.
