Benjamin Netanyahu to Modi: ‘Israel Stands Strong With You’ After Attack

In a direct and personal message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared, “Israel stands strong with you” after a deadly blast shook Delhi. The explosion on Monday evening claimed at least eight lives.
“To our dear friend Narendra Modi and to the brave people of India… we send our deepest condolences,” Netanyahu’s statement read, which he co-signed with his wife, Sara. He offered support “in sorrow and in strength” during this difficult time.
Netanyahu’s message was also one of defiance. He stated that the “unyielding spirit” of “ancient civilisations” like India and Israel cannot be broken. “Terror may strike our cities, but it will never shake our souls,” he said.
The strong message of support from Israel’s highest office was mirrored by Foreign Minister Gideon Saar. Saar also extended his condolences and affirmed, “Israel stands with India in its fight against terror.”
The blast is now being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The agency has formed a “dedicated and comprehensive” team to probe the “terrorist attack.” Sources suggest a Jaish-e-Mohammad module is the focus of the investigation.
